Ashok Teja, who directed the first part, is also directing the second part. Produced by D. Madhu under the banner of Madhu Creations and Sampath Nandi Team Works, the final schedule of this film is underway in Odela village. ”Odela 2′ is being made as a supernatural thriller.

The price paid for this film is said to be a record for heroine-oriented films, even for small films. “‘Odela 2’ was bought by Hindi distributors for Rs. 9 crores, which is the highest for a lady-oriented Telugu film in recent times,” says a Hindi distributor, “She has a new look, she really impressed them with some of her looks. The shooting of this sequel, which started in Kashi, is currently underway in the Odela Mallanna Kshetra. Key scenes are being shot in the village along with the Odela Mallanna temple.
