Michelle Obama just shut the gossip mill down — and she did it with style, wit, and a mic drop.
In a no-nonsense moment on The Diary of a CEO podcast with Steven Bartlett, the former First Lady finally addressed those annoying divorce rumors swirling around her marriage to Barack Obama. And spoiler alert: she’s not here for the drama.
“If I were having problems with my husband, everybody would know about it,” Michelle said with a smirk, according to PEOPLE. That’s right — no cryptic posts, no shady captions. Just straight-up truth.

Let’s rewind. Michelle skipped a few public appearances lately — like President Jimmy Carter’s memorial service and Donald Trump’s inauguration. Meanwhile, Barack showed up solo. Cue internet frenzy and TikTok speculation.
But Michelle made it clear: she wasn’t avoiding Barack — she was protecting herself.
“I’m not a martyr,” she told Bartlett. Per Page Six, Michelle said she’s done putting others’ expectations over her own mental health. So when she’s not feeling a public event? She stays home. Period.
Her big bro Craig Robinson — who joined her on the pod — even joked that if there was trouble in paradise, he’d be doing the podcast with Barack instead. A+ family humor.
Michelle also took a moment to remind us that no marriage is perfect. “People think we’re so different, but we’re just like everybody else,” she said, as quoted by The Daily Beast. “We go through our rough patches.”
But 32 years together? That’s no joke. And Michelle made it crystal clear — they’re still in it, strong and steady.
So, next time the internet’s in a meltdown over a missed event, maybe don’t jump to divorce court. Michelle’s doing just fine.
And yes, Barack’s still her “boo.”
