Boiling Rage Behind Bars: ‘Southport Monster’ Strikes Again at Belmarsh

Southport Killer Axel Rudakubana Attacks Prison Officer With Boiling Water In Belmarsh Jail

Convicted triple killer Axel Rudakubana, the teenager branded the “Southport Monster,” has launched a vile attack behind bars, this time targeting a prison officer with boiling water inside the UK’s notorious HMP Belmarsh.

The sickening incident unfolded on Thursday, May 8, when Rudakubana, just 18, allegedly boiled a kettle in his cell and hurled the scalding water through the hatch of his door directly onto a passing officer. Sources say the act was premeditated and chillingly calm — echoing the cold-blooded savagery of the Southport massacre that shocked the nation last year.

The officer, who hasn’t been named, was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Woolwich. Miraculously, he escaped with minor injuries and was discharged the same day — but the psychological trauma is another story. “He’s lucky to be alive,” one insider said. “This could’ve ended with life-altering burns or worse.”

Rudakubana is no ordinary inmate. Last summer, he butchered three innocent young girls — Alice da Silva Aguiar, 9; Bebe King, 6; and Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7 — during a Taylor Swift-themed children’s dance class in Southport. The mass stabbing also left ten others injured and triggered nationwide protests and calls for capital punishment.

He was sentenced to life with a minimum of 52 years — a virtual eternity behind bars. But now, he’s making headlines again for all the wrong reasons.

Officials are scrambling. The Prison Service has condemned the attack, promising the “toughest possible penalties.” Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood has called for emergency reviews, including the possible rollout of Tasers and upgraded body armor for officers working in high-risk prisons.

Let’s be clear: HMP Belmarsh is no joke. It houses some of the UK’s most dangerous criminals, including terrorists, murderers, and now, Rudakubana — whose young age belies his chilling capacity for violence.

Police are investigating. Rudakubana’s privileges have reportedly been stripped, and sources say he’s now under intense monitoring to prevent further incidents.

The attack has ignited fury among prison unions and renewed national outrage. Many are asking: how does a convicted child killer still have access to boiling water inside one of Britain’s highest-security prisons?

One prison insider said it best:

“He’s proven again he’s a danger to anyone near him. This kid’s evil. Simple as that.”

This isn’t just about one boiling attack. This is about a system struggling to contain a killer who thrives on chaos — even behind locked steel doors.
