The heartbreaking news was confirmed Friday by multiple outlets including People, Page Six, and The Sun, who reported that Medas passed away after battling necrotizing pancreatitis — a serious and painful condition that landed him in the ICU for nearly two weeks.

According to People, the MTV alum was on a ventilator and eventually slipped into a coma. His castmates — including Aimee Hall and Nilsa Prowant — had been asking fans for prayers and donations during his fight for life. A GoFundMe page set up by his family revealed he had no health insurance and needed support for hospital and funeral costs. The campaign raised more than $27,000 before his passing.

Aimee Hall reportedly posted a heartfelt tribute on Facebook (now deleted), remembering Kirk as a bright soul who brought people together — someone who could light up any room he walked into.

Medas became a fan favorite on Floribama Shore during its run from 2017 to 2020. With his quick wit, southern swagger, and unfiltered one-liners, he stood out in a cast full of big personalities.

The Sun noted that friends and fans have been flooding social media with tributes, calling him “one of the realest” and sharing throwback clips of his wildest moments on the show.

As Page Six bluntly put it — this loss hits hard.
