Chaos at 30,000 feet. A Jet2 flight from Alicante to Manchester was forced to divert to Barcelona after passengers got too wild. Mid-flight, the crew had enough and decided to make an emergency landing.
According to a spokesperson, “Flight LS881 diverted to Barcelona so that police could offload disruptive passengers.” Ouch. After a tense situation, the flight finally made its way to Manchester—three hours late.
But the drama didn’t end there. Just hours earlier, a separate Jet2 flight from Tenerife had its own nightmare when a passenger passed away mid-flight. The crew landed in Spain to try and save him, but it was too late.
Jet2 didn’t mince words, saying they have a “zero-tolerance approach” to disruptive behavior. No one’s playing around when it comes to in-flight chaos.
